Manchester is bursting with events for everyone. From live music and sports through to art and theatre, and we are just a stone’s throw from it all! Listed below are some of the events held and Manchester’s Manchester Arena, as well as some of the many other venues the city has to offer…

Manchester Arena

Backstreet Boys
Sat 5 April
Backstreet Boys are back at Phones 4u Arena this spring with all five original members. Support comes from 90s girl group All Saints and The Exchange. Doors for the show open at 6pm and the show will finish by approximately 10.50pm

Justin Timberlake
Mon 7 & Tue 8 April
Justin Timberlake will perform two spectacular shows at Phones 4u Arena this month. Returning to Manchester for the first time since 2007’s sold-out summer concerts at the Arena, Timberlake will be showcasing tracks from this year’s hit albums The 20/20 Experience and The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2.
Elbow
Wed 9 April
Elbow return to their hometown Phones 4u Arena to celebrate the release of their sixth studio album The Take Off And Landing Of Everything. The follow up to the award-winning build a rocket boys! and The Seldom Seen Kid, the number one album is out now. Support comes from former Doves frontman Jimi Goodwin.
Harlem Globetrotters
Thu 10 April
The world famous Harlem Globetrotters will take fan interaction to a new level when the 2014 ‘Fans Rule’ world tour comes to Phones 4u Arena. Tickets for the Thursday 10 April show are on sale now, priced from £15.00 – £42.00. Online voting is now open at harlemglobetrotters.com/rule, where all fans can choose which new game-changing rules they want to see.

 

Johnny Mathis
Sat 12 April
The legendary Johnny Mathis returns to Phones 4u Arena. Universally hailed as one of the greatest male vocalists of our time, Johnny Mathis will return to Manchester for the first time since his critically-acclaimed 2011 performance to showcase tracks from his greatest hits back catalogue. Doors for the show will open at 6pm and Johnny Mathis will be on stage by 7.30pm, so please be sure to arrive in time!
CBeebies Live! The Big Band
Sun 13 April
Calling all CBeebies fans! Join the fun and make some music with your favourite CBeebies stars in a brand new show for Easter 2014 – CBeebies Live! The Big Band. Mixing-up this fun filled musical adventure will be Justin Fletcher MBE, Mr. Tumble, Mister Maker and gardener extraordinaire, Mr Bloom!‘Makin a bad ting good’ will be Rastamouse, along with the musical fab four, the ZingZillas. Nina from Nina and the Neurons will bring her own unique scientific style, whilst the adventurous Andy Day and the charismatic Katy Ashworth will be ensuring that everyone has fun.
Gary Barlow
Mon 14 April
Gary Barlow returns to his hometown Phones 4u Arena to showcase tracks from his brand new album Since I Saw You Last. Since I Saw You Last, his first studio album in 14 years, features the new single Let Me Go and marks Gary’s first Manchester show since hosting 2011’s BBC Children In Need Rocks Manchester. Support comes from singer songwriter Eliza Dootlittle.

A Night of World Championship Boxing – Quigg vs Cermeno
Sat 19 April
Local hero Scott Quigg returns to Phones 4u Arena to defend his WBA World Super Bantamweight title against mandatory challenger Nehomar Cermeno on Saturday 19 April. Anthony Crolla will also be in action against John Murray in an all-Manchester Lightweight battle, while former IBF Bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell and Olympic Gold medal stars Anthony Joshua MBE and Luke Campbell MBE are big highlights on the bill, while Tyrone Nurse will face Tyler Goodjohn English Light Welterweight title.

Betway Premier League Darts
Thu 24 April
Betway Premier League Darts returns to Phones 4u Arena this April as part of its 2014 UK tour. Darts’ biggest roadshow event will celebrate its tenth staging this year, with reigning champion Michael van Gerwen set to defend his title against the likes of six-time winner Phil Taylor across 16 weeks of action around the UK, live on Sky Sports.

McBusted
Fri 9 – Sun 11 May
McFly’s Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd will team up with Busted’s James Bourne and Matt Willis to form the supergroup McBusted. Due to popular demand, they will be playing three dates in Manchester in May.

Miley Cyrus
Wed 14 May
Global superstar Miley Cyrus brings the party to Phones 4u Arena in May as part of her Bangerz tour. Miley has been dominating the charts with her hit singles We Can’t Stop and Wrecking Ball and her album Bangerz has been getting rave reviews with Entertainment Weekly calling it “…utterly fresh, a pop blitz from a hip-hop blueprint, and proof that Miley won’t settle for just shocking us.”

Barry Manilow

Legendary entertainer Barry Manilow returns to Phones 4u Arena to perform tracks from his latest album, 15 Minutes, alongside hits from his spectacular back catalogue. Described by Rolling Stone magazine as “the showman of our generation”, Manilow’s hits include Mandy, Copacabana, Friends, Could It Be Magic, Can’t Smile Without You and I Write the Songs. Limited production seats just released from only £15.00.
Katy Perry
Tue 20 & Sat 24 May
Due to a phenomenal demand for tickets to her first Manchester show of 2014, pop superstar Katy Perry has added a second date as part of her Prismatic world tour. Tickets for the Saturday 24 May show are on sale now! Following 2011’s sold-out California Dreams Arena show, Katy returns to Manchester to showcase tracks from her latest number one album Prism, including the chart-topping first single Roar. Joining Katy on her Manchester dates will be special guests Swedish synthpop duo Icona Pop who scored a massive number one hit earlier this year with I Love It.
Nine Inch Nails
Sun 25 May
Nine Inch Nails will play Phones 4u Arena in May to showcase tracks from Hesitation Marks, their first album in five years. Nine Inch Nails deliver one of the best live shows on the planet, are considered a pioneer in the industrial music movement and have been highly influential in the evolution of electronic music. The band, created by Trent Reznor (the only official member), released Hesitation Marks earlier this year to huge critical acclaim.

Little Mix
Tues 27 May
Global pop sensations Little Mix will be coming to Phones 4u Arena in May as part of their biggest UK tour to date. Tickets are on sale now. In anticipation of the tour, Little Mix have said, “We’re so excited to be preparing for our first arena tour! It’s incredible to think we’ll be playing for so many people every night. We are going to be pulling out all the stops to make sure it’s as unforgettable for our Mixers as it will be for us.”
Cirque du Soleil DRALION
Wed 11 – Sun 15 June
Cirque du Soleil’s signature show Dralion visits Phones 4u Arena as part of its first ever UK arena tour. Tickets for the Wednesday 11 – Sunday 15 June Manchester residency are on sale now, priced £50.00. Fusing the 3000 year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil, Dralion (pronounced “Dra-lee-on”) draws its inspiration from Eastern philosophy and its never-ending quest for harmony between humans and nature.

Kings Of Leon
Wed 18 June
US rock legends Kings of Leon return to Phones 4u Arena in June  – one of only three UK shows in 2014. The Tennessee quartet – Followill brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared and cousin Matthew Followill – will be performing tracks from their sixth studio album, Mechanical Bull, alongside hits from their decade-plus rock back catalogue, including Molly’s Chambers, On Call, Sex On Fire, Closer and Use Somebody. Once In A Lifetime – The Final Tour
Fri 20 June
Once In A Lifetime – The Final Tour, starring US sensations The Osmonds, the iconic David Essex, as well as Showaddywaddy & Les Mckeown’s legendary Bay City Rollers, will open in Phones 4u Arena Manchester on Friday 20 June. Tickets are on sale now.

Dolly Parton
Sat 21 June
The Queen of Country Dolly Parton returns to Phones 4u Arena as part of her Blue Smoke world tour. Performing songs from her huge back catalogue – including 9 to 5, Here You Come Again, Jolene and the classic I Will Always Love You – the legendary singer, songwriter and actress returns to the Manchester venue for the first time since 2011’s spectacular thigh-slapping show.

Eagles
Wed 25 June
The Eagles bring their History of the Eagles 2014 tour to Phones 4u Arena Manchester in June. The band – Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit – will be performing classic hits from their career, including some that have never been performed live before, alongside songs from their critically-acclaimed top-selling documentary History of the Eagles.
Robbie Williams
29, 30 June & 2 July
Robbie Williams has added a third Phones 4u Arena show as part of his Swings Both Ways European tour. He will be performing songs from the number 1 swing albums, and greatest hits in a swing style. Tickets for all three shows – Sunday 29, Monday 30 June & Wednesday 2 July – are on sale now. Official Robbie Williams hospitality packages are available exclusively from www.markbutler.co.uk

Key 103 Summer Live
Sat 19 July
Key 103 Summer Live, with Salford City College, returns to Phones 4u Arena this summer. Tickets for the Saturday 19 July concert are on sale now, priced from £27.50 – £70.00. Previously Key 103 Live brought a huge line-up of stars to the Manchester venue, including One Direction, Flo Rida, Robbie Williams, The Wanted, Little Mix, The Vamps and Jason Derulo. Tyson Fury vs Dereck Chisora

Manchester heavyweight Tyson Fury will face Dereck Chisora at Phones 4u Arena Manchester this summer in a WBO title eliminator bout.
